Product Overview

The Sirocco is the lightest helmet in Petzl’s range – possibly the lightest climbing currently available – yet it provides full protection around the head and retains all the essential features of a climbing helmet .
The expanded polypropylene (EPP) foam that makes up the majority of the body is sufficiently robust and flexible to negate the need for the protective shell typical of foam helmets, with an expanded polystyrene (EPS) insert in the crown to keep the profile slim while maximising protection against falling objects. The ventilation is generous, the webbing adjustment of the chinstrap and headband has little packed bulk, attachment points are provided for securing a head torch, and the chinstrap even has a magnetic buckle to aid fastening. This all makes the Sirocco as suited to warm-weather cragging as it is to technical mountaineering, and it is now also CE certified for ski-touring.
